In my last blog post I talked about looking back on my goals for this year and reflecting on what I have accomplished. This process helps me to understand what I'd like to focus on in the coming year. We all know the past two years have been crazy, full of ups and downs, and… Continue reading How I Set My Yearly Goals

Looking Back on My Goals for the Year
We're getting closer to the end of the year, meaning New Year's resolutions are just around the corner. I like to set goals for myself all year, but there is something exciting and empowering about the new year and setting goals for myself. I wanted to share the process that I go through, because I… Continue reading Looking Back on My Goals for the Year
Managing Pain and Setbacks
Dude. I'm practically the queen of setbacks at this point. I don't want to make excuses, but LIFE gets in the way sometimes! This time, it is pain. Sudden, chronic pain all over my body. Since giving birth to Luna 2 years ago, I've had more issues with my joints than I had previously. But… Continue reading Managing Pain and Setbacks
Finding Balance in Life
Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance, order, rhythm and harmony.Thomas Merton I went to an elementary/middle school called Thomas Merton Academy. When I got old enough to start really studying Thomas Merton, learning about his life, and more importantly reading his works, I fell in love with an intelligent, funny, and… Continue reading Finding Balance in Life
Another Health Journey
Photo by Patrick Fore on Unsplash Maybe I should have titled this "The Continuation of My Health Journey," because really, I've been at this on-and-off for awhile. I started a little over 10 years ago when my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and we found out that we carry the BRCA2 gene mutation. Since… Continue reading Another Health Journey
Getting My Sh*t Together – Week 5: Sh*t’s Getting Real
I've made it to week 5! Eventually I'll actually start posting on Sundays again, like I'm supposed to! Although I'm still dealing with health issues and haven't been able to journal/plan every day, I have still managed to keep up with tasks scheduled weekly and have been checking my calendar each day. Some days I… Continue reading Getting My Sh*t Together – Week 5: Sh*t’s Getting Real

**This update is five days late....so it's going to be covering Week THREE and FOUR.** There's been a slight hold-up, if you will, on the "Getting My Sh*t Together" Challenge. For the past five months, I've been dealing with some health issues off and on -- but mostly on. In about mid-December and through the… Continue reading Getting My Sh*t Together Challenge – Week 3/4 Update
Getting My Sh*t Together Challenge – Week 1 Check In – Shi*t Got Done!
So, it’s only been a week. And good habits are not established in just a week. There is still a good possibility that after doing this for a few weeks -- or even a few months to be honest -- I will lose my excitement over planning and organizing and fall off the “get my sh*t together” wagon. I don’t want to create a false sense of accomplishment for completing a week of my challenge, but I’m still pretty optimistic I’ll be able to succeed. It also helps that my daily affirmation for the month is “I believe in myself and my ability to succeed.”
Finally Getting My Sh*t Together – A Year Long Blog Series
I’m a hot mess. I have been for most of my life. I try to have my sh*t together and I’m good at making it look like I do – most of the time – but in all reality, I am struggling every day to keep up with everything going on in my life and… Continue reading Finally Getting My Sh*t Together – A Year Long Blog Series
Catching Up (& A Special Discount Code!)
I feel like I've spent most of my life trying to catch up to one thing or another. In our time and society, everyone and everything goes too fast. It's the endless "Rat Race," I suppose. Since having Landon and officially becoming an "adult" -- if I can ever ACTUALLY call myself that -- I've… Continue reading Catching Up (& A Special Discount Code!)
